Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Expertise: Provide expert clinical guidance and support to nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Education and Training: Develop and implement education and training programs for nursing staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent patient care.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to achieve shared goals and objectives, providing leadership and guidance as needed.
  • Research and Evidence-Based Practice: Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in hospice palliative care, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education: Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Experience: Three (3) years' recent related clinical nursing experience in the designated clinical area, including one (1) year experience in a supervisory/leadership role.
  • Certifications: Completion of applicable Canadian Nursing Association (CNA) certificate in the designated clinical area.
