About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse I to join our team at NL Health Services. As a valued member of our Resident Care Team, you will provide quality nursing care to residents in long-term care settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities and provide personal care
  • Promote independent living and meet residents' physical, social, and spiritual needs
  • Work collaboratively with the interprofessional team to plan and supervise care
  • Monitor resident outcomes and intervene as necessary
  • Reassess and adjust the plan of care or resident assignment as needed
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing program
  • Current licensure with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CLPNNL)
  • Current BLS certification
  • Gerontology experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of seniors' issues and support best practice in gerontological care
  • Ability to deal effectively with end-of-life issues
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships
  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work independently
