Job Title: Service Technical Sales Representative

Reporting to the Vice President of Service, this critical role plays a key part in Magnum's Service Division. The Sales/Project Coordinator is responsible for securing new business projects and ensuring their successful completion. Working closely with key stakeholders, this position will guarantee that the customer's expectations are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Functions:
    • Generate high-quality sales leads
    • Perform regular customer follow-up
    • Secure and renew orders
    • Negotiate pricing and quotes/technical spec sheets as required
    • Complete the sales transaction and arrange delivery using schedules
  • Product Development:
    • Research, develop, and modify products to meet customers' technical requirements and needs
    • Prepare and develop technical presentations to explain Magnum's products and services to existing and new customers
    • Discuss Magnum's portfolio while understanding customer equipment needs and system requirements
    • Work with the design team to generate concept drawings that correspond with customer demand and quoted projects
  • Customer Support:
    • Effectively communicate customer project scope to key internal stakeholders within the Service Division
    • Work closely with Internal Purchasers to ensure correct materials are ordered and delivered on time to meet projected delivery dates
    • Assist customers with problems related to installed products and recommend improved or upgraded materials and machinery through effective troubleshooting techniques
  • Business Development:
    • Solicit and document client feedback to analyze data and create new sales and marketing strategies to target customers
    • Identify areas for improvement and communicate these issues, as well as possible solutions, to Senior Management through team design and brainstorming sessions
  • Professional Development:
    • Consistently improve technical knowledge of industry and product lines by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, establishing professional networks, and participating in professional organizations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Certified Engineering Technologist with sufficient work experience
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in the manufacturing or transportation industry
  • Experience and solid understanding of designing within Solid Works
  • Working knowledge of ERP software an asset
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in the English language
