About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a Master's degree in Social Work, current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers, and a minimum of two years' experience providing mental health services to preschoolers, children, and adolescents. Your knowledge of the DSM-IV-5 and ability to screen for, assess, and conceptualize common childhood mental health disorders is essential. You should also have experience in crisis and suicide risk assessment and intervention, as well as the ability to assess family functioning and implement family-based interventions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide mental health services to children and adolescents in designated schools
- Work closely with clients, schools, and mental health services to ensure comprehensive care
- Screen for, assess, and conceptualize common childhood mental health disorders
- Assess family functioning and implement family-based interventions
- Participate in crisis and suicide risk assessment and intervention
