**Member Experience Specialist**

Prospera Credit Union is a community-based organization that offers a full range of financial products and services. We are seeking a Member Experience Specialist to develop member-first advisory relationships and provide access to day-to-day, lending and investing products and services.

**Job Description:**

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills to join our team. As a Member Experience Specialist, you will be responsible for on-boarding new members, uncovering their needs, and introducing our solutions to them. You will also be involved in providing access to lending and investing products and services, including unsecured lending, mortgage renewals, and term deposits.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Onboard and initiate relationship conversations with new members
  • Develop and advance member relationships through Financial Health Checks, pipeline management, and effective referrals
  • Have primary responsibility for opening new business accounts and business change of signing officer requests
  • Support member access to lending products by producing small unsecured lending products and completing broker mortgage sign-ups and mortgage renewals
  • Support Member Service Specialists by completing front line transactions as needed
  • Provide omni-channel support for the Member Service Centre by supporting member calls as needed

**Requirements:**

  • Grade 12 (or equivalent)
  • Business Administration or Marketing diploma or degree (an asset)
  • 1-3 years of experience working in a financial services environment with exposure to lending and investment products, identifying member needs, and advising
  • Experience or knowledge with mutual funds (preferred)
  • Licensed to sell mutual funds or the willingness to be licensed within 12 months
  • Previous experience working in a professional sales environment
  • Proven financial acumen and knowledge of financial products, services, and retail lending
  • Demonstrated ability to confidently provide advice in a variety of member situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and organized and the ability to manage priorities
  • Proficient with technology and systems
