Staff Accountant Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Corporate Finance Department, responsible for transaction processing, accounting analysis, and reporting. Job Responsibilities: • Transaction Processing and Administration: + Process financial transactions and data input on admin systems + Identify and resolve transaction discrepancies + Handle routine accounting or administrative inquiries + Implement continuous process and efficiency improvements • Accounting, Journal Entries, and Reconciliation: + Prepare SUN Balance Sheet and P&L journal entries + Document and maintain accounting models + Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts + Support internal and external audit requests • Analysis and Reporting: + Analyze accounting data to identify trends and issues + Develop and produce reports to support key business insights + Support Corporate Finance dashboard development • Continuous Process Improvement and Projects: + Review and document existing accounting processes + Develop and maintain control procedures and systems + Participate in team and department projects Requirements: • Completion or working towards professional accounting designation • University degree with Business, Finance, or Accounting major • 2-3 years of accounting experience • Strong oral and written communication skills • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines • Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously • Eagerness to learn and take on stretch assignments Key Skills: • Experience and knowledge of a computerized GL/accounting system • MS Excel (Advanced), Word, SharePoint • MS Excel Macros, VBA, SQL, PowerBI, Dodeca, HFM (desired) • Working competence in a second language (desired)
