Develop and maintain electrical, mechanical, and integrated infrastructure systems for BMO Financial Group’s global facilities to ensure maximum availability, reliability, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting strategic initiatives with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Breaking down complex problems and analyzing data to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Monitoring performance and addressing issues.
  • Building change management plans and leading or participating in various change management activities.
  • Executing work to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service.
  • Planning and maintaining integrated facility infrastructure support systems and building automation systems.
  • Inspecting facilities and infrastructure support systems to determine necessity of repairs or maintenance.
  • Identifying and investigating issues, performing minor repairs, documenting work, and engaging internal resources or external service providers to resolve issues.
  • Responding to building occupant requests and concerns.

Required qualifications include:

  • Typically between 3 - 5 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and/or trade certification.
  • Experience with building infrastructure system design, electrical and/or mechanical engineering, preferably within a mission critical facility and/or financial services environment.
  • Strong experience with electrical and/or mechanical and architectural planning and design for high availability computer facilities, field construction methods, construction cost estimation, and fire prevention.
  • Good understanding of environmental requirements of computer hardware, data communications, business process equipment, and overall building systems in continuous production environments and associated risks and impacts.
