Your Opportunity

We are seeking a Civil Engineering Co-op Student to become part of a dynamic transportation group specializing in the planning and design of major provincial transit infrastructure and rail, P3 design build and related local transportation projects. As the successful candidate, you will assist in providing professional services to public and private sector clients.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in various support activities as part of a dynamic team.
  • Support a large-scale LRT Project.
  • Perform both field and office work.
  • Provide general assistance to project engineers and project managers in Stantec's transportation group.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • You are a self-motivated individual with strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail and accuracy, and you work well in a team environment.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, and have a working knowledge of transportation engineering related software such as AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
  • You have a valid driver's license and vehicle.

Education and Experience

  • Completion of high school and/or enrolled in a Civil Engineering degree/diploma program.

This role involves working in a typical office environment with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
