About the Role

As a Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse with Fraser Health, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients. You will identify actual or potential problems and strengths through nursing diagnosis, plan interventions, perform planned interventions, and evaluate outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement interventions to promote recovery and well-being.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to provide comprehensive care, including crisis intervention, patient and family education, and health promotion activities.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, research, and education to enhance patient care and nursing practice.
  • Act as an advocate for patients' rights, dignity, and autonomy, promoting a safe and respectful environment.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • May require completion of a substance use certificate program.
