About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Engineer to join our team at PreCon Precast, a leading provider of architectural and structural precast concrete solutions. As an Industrial Engineer, you will play a key role in improving our organization's overall production processes, systems, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Optimization: Analyze and improve production processes, systems, and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement continuous improvement programs to promote a culture of excellence and drive process innovation.
  • Market Research: Monitor market trends and technologies to identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations to management.
  • Quality Control: Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality control procedures to ensure high-quality products.
  • Workflow Analysis: Conduct workflow and time studies to optimize production throughput, capacity, and personnel requirements.
  • KPI Development: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure production quality and efficiency.
  • Process Documentation: Develop and maintain process documentation and share production efficiency analyses with operations as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of production machinery, processes, automation, and standards. Proficiency in programs such as Microsoft Office 365, 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, and other engineering-related Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) software.
  • Experience: Previous experience or co-op placement in precast concrete is considered a definite asset.
