Position Overview: This role is essential in supporting the Factory Manager by enhancing workstations to boost quality and streamline boat manufacturing processes. The main objective is to maximize workstation outputs while ensuring safety and efficiency.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Assess manufacturing methods to achieve optimal efficiency in producing parts or delivering services.

• Collaborate with production teams to enhance build cycles, ensuring they are safer, quicker, and maintain high quality.

• Assist manufacturing teams in diagnosing and resolving production challenges.

• Revise CAD models and drawings to align with production requirements.

• Evaluate current operations and suggest improvements that are cost-effective.

• Enhance the utilization of floor space, materials, workforce, and machinery.

• Streamline process flows for better efficiency.

• Foster employee productivity and material usage through continuous improvement initiatives and staff motivation.

• Cultivate a culture focused on achieving targets.

QUALIFICATIONS:


• Required: NQF6 National Diploma in Composite Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering.

• Preferred: NQF 7 Degree in Composite Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering.

• Experience in composite materials or boat manufacturing is advantageous.
