We are seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to enhance our team
The Manufacturing Process Engineer will play a crucial role in optimizing and refining production methodologies for both new and ongoing projects. This position involves direct collaboration with clients and internal teams to validate requirements and ensure seamless communication. Position Responsibilities
Enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness to align with Vuteq objectives Create process design strategies for new business initiatives Implement Kaizen principles to refine existing production workflows Collaborate in the development of new programs utilizing the APQP framework Work alongside Engineering to concurrently develop parts and manufacturing processes for improved efficiency Partner with Sales to establish automation levels for new processes to meet cost objectives Generate equipment RFQs for Engineering and Maintenance evaluation Produce prototype components for new initiatives to assess manufacturability Develop Process Flows, Layouts, and Standard Work documentation, including timing and manpower estimates Create simulations of new processes to evaluate feasibility Design and enhance work cells to meet Vuteq Process Development standards Continuously improve safety, quality, efficiency, and cost for ongoing programs Formulate Standard Work documentation with timing and manpower assessments Calculate Return on Investment proposals and present findings to management Engage with production staff at all levels to gain insights into current processes and explore new ideas Contribute to quoting processes during the Sourcing phase to assist sales in providing competitive pricing Participate in DSR activities to aid Design and Tooling in developing parts that enhance process efficiency.Qualifications
Education
Completion of a minimum three-year engineering diploma from an accredited institution (mechanical engineering preferred)Experience
Proficiency in CATIA V5, Unigraphics, SolidWorks Familiarity with PPAP, APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, and Six Sigma methodologies Competence in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint Knowledge of injection molding processes is advantageous Strong understanding of plastics and other automotive materials 2-5 years of experience in engineering product developmentSkills and Abilities
Efficient time management to meet customer deadlines Adaptability to shifting demands from internal and external sources Strong interpersonal skills for presenting technical information professionally Ability to conduct statistical analyses to identify trends and implement corrective measures Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders High attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines Active listening skills to understand project requirements from various stakeholders Leadership abilities to guide a small team towards common objectives Proficiency in a second language is considered an assetAdditional Requirements
