Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Team Trainer to join our Produce Department team at Whole Foods Market. As a Team Trainer, you will play a critical role in supporting the high engagement, productivity, and retention of New Members by organizing and delivering quality training on their home team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for high-quality foods and the mission of Whole Foods Market, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for coordinating with Team Leaders and the Store Trainer to schedule New Member training during their first four shifts, facilitating team-specific operational training for Team Members, and attending Team Trainer meetings as scheduled.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver high-quality training programs for New Members and Team Members.
  • Work closely with Team Leaders and the Store Trainer to ensure timely completion of New Member Connections.
  • Facilitate team-specific operational training for Team Members, including Operational Learning Pathways and team-specific program rollouts.
  • Act as a role model for constant food safety, sanitation procedures, and occupational safety.
  • Train all Team Members on customer service standards and provide timely feedback.
  • Train all Team Members on new products, their differentiation, sales tactics, and department placement.
  • Organize, track, report, and maintain accurate training records using Whole Foods Market's learning systems.

Requirements

  • 6 months of Whole Foods Market experience (or equivalent retail training experience).
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in wet and/or cold environments.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

What We Offer

Whole Foods Market offers a competitive hourly wage of $17.50 - $21.00, commensurate with experience. We also offer Whole Benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan benefits, eligibility for a store discount, paid time off, and access to other benefit programs.
