About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our Central Services team at the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support to our Specialists and Senior Specialists in the implementation and administration of contract-related processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership
    • Provide guidance and support to team members on contract administration and business process improvement.
    • Collaborate with other teams to identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement necessary changes.
    • Develop and maintain knowledge of operational activities related to demand side management programs.
  • Technical
    • Support settlement, procurement, and contract management activities, including administrative tasks related to managing contract milestones and account reconciliations.
    • Provide contract management expertise on Demand Side Management and GIF contracts.
    • Develop and manage the DSM procurement plan through active outreach to internal stakeholders.
  • Financial
    • Ensure vendor contract compliance and monitor spending, budget commitments, and forecasts.
    • Prepare financial reports, including budget forecasts and explanations of variances.
    • Process invoices and regularly scheduled payments through OnlineIESO or Market Settlements.
  • Customer Focus
    • Implement a customer-focused approach to contract administration, ensuring terms, conditions, and requirements are enforced consistently.
    • Foster positive relationships with service providers, IESO business units, and partners.
Requirements
  • Education
    • 4-year university education in business administration or equivalent.
  • Experience
    • Over 3 years and up to 6 years of experience in business process support or business analysis.
    • Experience in translating business requirements into processes and collaborating across business units.
  • Skills
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
    • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) knowledge is an asset.
