About the Role: We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Mental Health and Substance Use Team Lead to join our dynamic team. As a valued candidate, you will bring a wealth of experience, including four years of recent, related expertise, including two years of staff supervisory experience. Your clinical background in individual, family, and group modalities of practice within mental health and psychiatry, whether in community or hospital settings, sets you apart as a leader in the field. Key Responsibilities: • Coordinate the day-to-day activities of the team, ensuring optimal use of resources and efficient use of clinical staff • Supervise designated clinical staff, including performance evaluation, staff training, and development • Provide clinical consultation, role modeling, instruction, and coaching with problem solving • Develop and implement quality improvement processes, including programs/practice evaluation and identifying opportunities for change • Participate in risk management for the clinical area, including conducting safety audits and reviewing related reports • Participate as a member of local and regional committees and planning bodies • Maintain broad development in Mental Health and Substance Use, including reviewing literature and participating in professional development activities Qualifications: • Master's Degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, or other relevant health-related discipline • Four years of recent related experience, including two years of staff supervisory experience • Clinical experience in individual, family, and group modalities of practice in mental health/psychiatry in community and/or hospital settings • Eligible for registration with relevant professional association • Valid B.C. Driver's license and access to personal vehicle for work-related purposes Skills and Abilities: • Demonstrated ability to design, implement, revise, and participate in the evaluation of programs • Demonstrated ability to provide effective clinical supervision and leadership to staff within an interdisciplinary team setting • Comprehensive knowledge of principles, practices, and theories of social work, clinical counseling, or other health-related discipline • Demonstrated ability to teach and facilitate learning of staff and/or clients and families • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work in a continuously changing environment About Fraser Health: Fraser Health is a leading healthcare provider in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, serving over two million people.
