About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance and Support Worker to join our team at Global Relay. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data center facilities, server environments, and related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, CRAC, and CRAH units
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of the facility, logging results and planning repairs and maintenance
  • Ensure facility is maintained to highest standards possible to achieve 100% uptime
  • Assist operations staff with installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of servers, storage systems, and peripheral equipment
  • Perform rotating shift coverage to meet all support needs as needed
  • Liaise with contractors to ensure system availability and highest standards of work are upheld
  • Assist in ongoing facilities improvements and 3rd party technical audits as needed
Requirements
  • High School diploma or higher education
  • Experience in supporting facilities and data center needs within a mission critical environment
  • Familiarity with mechanical equipment systems, electrical power distribution systems, and complex building and mechanical system controls
  • Excellent judgement skills in making critical decisions, excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both verbal and written English
  • Strong organization skill and initiatives, strong documentation skills, and comfort working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
