About the Role

As a Recreation Therapist, you will work with a multi-disciplinary team to provide assessment and treatment plans, promoting physical, cognitive, emotional, and social functioning of patients. You will utilize therapeutic interventions, leisure education, and recreation participation to enhance well-being and quality of life.

  • Assess and develop treatment plans for clients with various health conditions and disabilities
  • Provide leisure education and recreation participation to promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social functioning
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Conduct quality improvement and evaluation activities to support continuous improvements in Therapeutic Recreation Services
About You

We are seeking a qualified Recreation Therapist with:

  • Baccalaureate degree in Recreation or Leisure Studies with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation
  • Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist with NCTRC
  • Experience working with various populations and disability groups
  • Knowledge of leisure assessments, education, and counseling processes
  • Effective counseling and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and establish good interpersonal relationships
Hours and Compensation

Permanent Full-Time position, 75 hours biweekly, with a competitive hourly rate of $42.01.
