Job Summary

Nuna Logistics is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead our heavy industrial civil earthworks construction projects. Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Demonstrate leadership by emphasizing a culture of safety and focus on continuous improvement.
  • Project Execution: Manage full-cycle project execution, from start-up and execution, through to close out of the project.
  • Performance Monitoring: Be accountable for project performance through continuous review of schedules, production metrics, and project KPIs.
  • Financial Management: Manage financial aspects of the project, including forecasting and billing.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and coach project team members, emphasizing teamwork and an inclusive work environment.
  • Client Relationships: Prioritize client relationships to ensure confidence that their projects will be constructed on time and on budget.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years' experience in a similar role, with 5 or more years' experience on projects managed in value of $15M or greater.
  • Education: Civil, Mining, Structural Engineering diploma or related technical degree preferred.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and evolving priorities.
  • Technical Knowledge: A detailed understanding of all aspects of heavy civil earthwork construction, including technology, equipment, materials, bid management, claims management, and safety.
  • Contract Management: Experience with multi-rate type contracts, including lump sum, time and material, unit rate.
  • Travel: Ability to travel to various project sites, possibly with short notice and/or for extended periods of time.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with exemplary soft skills.
  • Written Skills: Excellent written skills for planning, execution, and internal and external reporting.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience in JD Edwards, Primavera P6, and/or MS Projects is an asset.
