About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Buildings Mechanical team in Halifax, NS. As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing innovative building mechanical systems, working collaboratively with our team of professional engineers and technologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Assist a design team to prepare contract documents for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and building systems controls.
  • Project Management: Manage projects to meet budget and deliverables, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction.
  • Client Liaison: Meet and liaise with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.
  • Business Development: Assist with business development and proposals, helping to grow our business and expand our services.
  • Construction Administration: Perform construction administration and field reviews, ensuring that our designs are implemented correctly and efficiently.
  • Commissioning and Start-up: Document, plan, and conduct commissioning and start-up activities, ensuring that our systems are functioning properly and safely.
Requirements
  • Education: Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Registration: Registration as a Professional Engineer in Canada with eligibility for registration with Engineers Nova Scotia.
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the design of mechanical systems for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
  • Skills: Familiarity in the design of mechanical systems using AutoCAD and Revit, detail-oriented, organized, hardworking, with a team player attitude, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Additional Requirements: Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites within Atlantic Canada.
