Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cabling Specialist to lead our structured cabling team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining complex cabling systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead a team of cabling technicians in the installation, termination, and testing of copper and fiber optic cabling systems
    • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop project plans and timelines
  • Cabling Design and Installation
    • Conduct site surveys and assess requirements for cabling projects
    • Document structured cabling systems based on industry standards and client specifications
    • Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cables, connectors, and related components
  • Troubleshooting and Quality Assurance
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with cabling systems, including signal quality, connectivity, and performance
    • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and safety guidelines
  • Training and Development
    • Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in structured cabling installation and maintenance
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards and best practices for copper and fiber optic cabling systems
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and diagrams
  • Experience leading and managing a team of cabling technicians
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with testing equipment and tools used in structured cabling
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., BICSI, CFOT, Specific Manufacturer training) are a plus
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites as required

Hourly Pay Range
