About the RoleThe Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the distribution of materials, tools, equipment, and products within facilities. In addition, the Shipper/Receiver will verify and keeps records on all incoming and outgoing shipments.

• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Fill requisitions, work orders, shipping order, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
• Mark materials with the appropriate identifying information.
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Arrange stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.
• Drive Company shunt vehicle as required to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.
• Inspect physical condition of warehouse and equipment.
• Read work order or follow oral instructions to determine material or container movement requirements.
• Load and secure materials into transport vehicles to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
• Operates lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
• Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information.
• Compare identifying information, counts, weighs, or measures on incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipment specifications are met.
• Ensure that Lean Vision priorities are identified and available operators are effectively assigned.
• Ensure that the proper labels and containers are available for Lean Vision operators.
• Ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained and improved in the Lean Vision Area and in the Warehouse.
• Ensure that all safety requirements and regulations are adhered to when performing duties.
• Perform all required informal safety checks on a daily basis.
• Report any accidents, incidents and/or forklift damage immediately.
• Perform preventative maintenance on the fork lift and battery as documented through standard procedures.
• Provide assistance to operators as required.
General Points
• Ensure that all environmental requirements are identified and addressed when performing duties.
• Ensure that all safety requirements are being carried out when performing duties.
• Comply with defined Business Management and Environmental Management Systems requirements.
• Provide support for the continuous improvement initiatives within Techform.

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of Techform production processes.

• Must be capable of prioritizing and directing their own work with little supervision;
