Richardson Oilseed is one of Canada's oldest and largest fully-integrated oilseed processing and packaging operations with three facilities across Canada.

In addition to producing bulk canola oil and meal, our food products division produces a wide variety of canola-based margarines, oils, and shortenings for the industrial, retail and foodservice markets.

\r

Responsibilities:
\r

\r
\r
\tUnderstand and comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, company policies and procedures and general workplace rules\r
\tParticipate in the day to day health and safety program by working in a safe manner at all times:\r
\tAlways using the required personal protective equipment\r
\tEnsuring that authorized work is completed safely\r
\tUtilizing required controls to prevent risk of exposure to hazards\r
\tParticipating actively in incident investigations, training, and other health and safety initiatives\r
\tReporting all unsafe acts and conditions and all incidents, near misses and workplace injuries/illnesses as per company procedure\r
\tHandle all wastes and by-products\r
\tStore production supplies\r
\tCoordinate storage and disposal of hazardous waste materials\r
\tGeneral yard clean up\r
\tOperate automated process controls and equipment within defined parameters\r
\tRail car movement\r
\r
\r
\r
\r

Qualifications:
\r

\r
\r
\tMust have grade 12 or equivalent combined with excellent written, documentation and verbal communications skills\r
\tMust be willing to work a rotating shift schedule and overtime\r
\tExperience with automated process controls\r
\tMechanical aptitude an asset\r
\tExcellent computer, communication and documentation skills\r
\tExcellent interpersonal skills and team work ability\r
\tForklift and bobcat certification an asset\r
\r
\r
\r
\r
