We currently have an opportunity for a Material Handler at our Lethbridge, AB location. 

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, company policies and procedures and general workplace rules

  • Participate in the day to day health and safety program by working in a safe manner at all times:

    • Always using the required personal protective equipment

    • Ensuring that authorized work is completed safely

    • Utilizing required controls to prevent risk of exposure to hazards

    • Participating actively in incident investigations, training, and other health and safety initiatives

    • Reporting all unsafe acts and conditions and all incidents, near misses and workplace injuries/illnesses as per company procedure

  • Handle all wastes and by-products

  • Store production supplies

  • Coordinate storage and disposal of hazardous waste materials

  • General yard clean up

  • Operate automated process controls and equipment within defined parameters

  • Rail car movement

Qualifications:

  • Must have grade 12 or equivalent combined with excellent written, documentation and verbal communications skills

  • Must be willing to work a rotating shift schedule and overtime

  • Experience with automated process controls

  • Mechanical aptitude an asset

  • Excellent computer, communication and documentation skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team work ability

  • Forklift and bobcat certification an asset
