About the Role

Trotter & Morton Group of Companies is a leading construction company providing electrical, mechanical, and metal work services for various commercial, civil, and industrial building projects.

We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for safely offloading trucks and trailers, organizing materials, directing traffic, and performing other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety First: Safely operate equipment such as telehandlers, skid steers, and loaders in a congested area.
  • Material Management: Organize materials around the laydown area and inside the loading shed.
  • Communication: Communicate with all parties involved to confirm receipt of materials.
  • Administrative Tasks: Handle paperwork and distribute it to the right parties.
  • Adaptability: Work in adverse weather conditions and adapt to changing priorities.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum one (1+) year experience in material handling.
  • Certifications: Telehandler Operator Certificate, Forklift Certificate, Boom Lift Certificate, H2S Alive, CSTS, WHMIS, MSDS.
  • Skills: Ability to handle multiple priorities, operate equipment safely, and communicate effectively.
