We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team at our Lethbridge, AB location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety protocols, company policies, and general workplace rules.
  • Participate in the daily health and safety program by working in a safe manner at all times:
    • Utilize required personal protective equipment.
    • Ensure that authorized work is completed safely.
    • Implement required controls to prevent risk of exposure to hazards.
    • Participate actively in incident investigations, training, and other health and safety initiatives.
    • Report all unsafe acts and conditions and all incidents, near misses, and workplace injuries/illnesses as per company procedure.
  • Handle all waste and by-products.
  • Store production supplies.
  • Coordinate storage and disposal of hazardous waste materials.
  • Perform general yard clean-up.
  • Operate automated process controls and equipment within defined parameters.
  • Coordinate rail car movement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent combined with excellent written, documentation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule and overtime.
  • Experience with automated process controls.
  • Mechanical aptitude an asset.
  • Excellent computer, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork ability.
  • Forklift and bobcat certification an asset.
