About the Role:

The Baker's Assistant is a key member of the Thrifty Foods team, responsible for supporting the bakery department in a fast-paced retail environment. This role requires a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist bakers with daily tasks, including preparing ingredients, operating equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of bakery products, including ingredients, preparation methods, and nutritional information.
  • Collaborate with the bakery team to achieve sales goals and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the bakery department and contribute to the overall success of Thrifty Foods.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good business and industry knowledge.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
