Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and forward-thinking individual to join our Milling division as a Junior Head Miller in Hanover, Ontario. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing milling operations, ensuring that tasks are executed according to company standards, and providing guidance to hourly millers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise milling operations and assist with training, inspections, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Monitor and control mill efficiencies, troubleshoot issues, and work with staff to improve performance.
  • Ensure all mills are running optimally and assist with daily performance checks.
  • Plan and prepare for sanitation work orders and mill maintenance during provided downtime.
  • Provide coverage for the Production Supervisor and Head Miller as needed.
  • Organize and maintain flour sieves and milling consumable parts.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and high standards of housekeeping and sanitation in accordance with BRCGS and Food Safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Secondary School Diploma.
  • Minimum of 4 years milling experience.
  • A Diploma, Certificate, or Advanced Certificate in Flour Milling would be an asset.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Competent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Scheduling production experience would be an asset.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Permanent, full-time position.
  • $30.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending on experience.
  • 40 hours of work per week.
  • Overtime pay is applicable after 44 hours of work per week.
  • Dental, Vision, and Extended Health Care.
