About the Role

Corteva Agriscience is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Account Manager to join our team in Southern Alberta. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for implementing the direct sales process with selected Strategic Accounts within the Corteva Seed and Crop Protection business for the Southern Alberta area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct business analysis of assigned grower accounts to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Execute comprehensive call strategies in collaboration with the Sales Team to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Position and support Corteva crop protection products with all assigned accounts, providing expert knowledge and guidance to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver precision agronomy services to customers, including product knowledge and agronomic support.
  • Communicate product knowledge and value proposition to customers, highlighting the benefits of Corteva's crop protection products.
  • Negotiate and coordinate value proposition delivery to meet customer needs and drive sales growth.
  • Meet assigned unit and revenue targets, while developing a sustainable business relationship with clients.
  • Develop value propositions to assist growers in achieving higher productivity and profitability.
  • Lead the coordination of the support and sales teams to deliver on business needs analysis and drive sales growth.
  • Coordinate customer activities to provide support and strengthen relationships.
  • Coordinate the delivery of precision agronomy, product knowledge, and agronomic services to customers.
  • Demonstrate the ability to increase penetration by calling on prospects and building relationships that lead to new revenue opportunities.
  • Understand customer needs and provide feedback to the organization on product performance, program effectiveness, and competitive activity.
  • Suggest improvements or alternative tactics to help achieve commercial area and territory goals.
  • Continuously develop professionally by remaining current with new technologies, management innovations, and sales management developments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 7 years of Ag sales or field agronomy experience, managing and coaching individuals.
  • Experience working with strategic accounts in local geography.
  • Solid understanding of agronomic cultural practices.
  • Visa sponsorship and international relocation are NOT available for this position.
