Join our team as a Director, Senior Commercial Markets and take on a challenging role that requires strong business development skills and advanced financial acumen. As a professional relationship manager, you will be responsible for new client acquisition, deepening and growing existing client relationships, portfolio management, and profitability.
About the Role
- Manage a portfolio of large commercial clients, taking responsibility for the overall relationship strategy within the client's RBC relationship team
- Provide an exceptional client experience by delivering proactive and customized business and financial advice, demonstrating a deep understanding of your clients' business and industry
- Acquire and grow Senior Commercial Markets client relationships, collaborating with the client relationship team and bringing the full breadth of RBC to businesses, business owners and their employees
- Work in close partnership and collaboration with CFS Finance to manage and support complex client credit needs, demonstrating strong credit acumen, as well as sound risk mitigation and portfolio oversight
- Foster internal and external strategic partnerships and centres of influence (COIs) to meet the business' strategic goals while focusing on target market clients
- Ensure clients are enabled to leverage digital solutions for themselves and their business
Requirements
- University degree, ideally in Commerce or Business Administration, with strong financial analysis skills
- Minimum 3-5 years' commercial banking experience
- Proven track record in business development and exceptional client relationship management skills
- Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Deep knowledge of banking products and services, including industry specialized knowledge, as applicable
- Experience and comfort with emerging technology (e.g. video conferencing, social media, digital banking and mobile applications)
