The Opportunity

Our CM&I ML & ILI Team is looking to add an #EnergyProblemSolver in Ontario (remote) to support Inline Inspection (ILI) Projects across the Country, mostly in Central & Eastern Canada.

We are currently seeking an ILI Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Manager, CM&I ML & ILI, the ILI Coordinator is a field-based role specific to Integrity Projects executing ILI work as the Company's authorized on-site representative.

This position requires an individual who has supervised large and complicated ILI projects and has a comprehensive understanding of gas handling operations, field operations, site safety protocols and best practices as well as the ability to supervise and direct teams of vendors and contractors. The ILI Coordinator works with an ILI Project Manager focused on the successful preparation, execution and close-out of differing types of assigned pipeline inspection projects.

What you'll do

  • Review project scope, resources and schedule with the ILI Project Manager
  • Gather and review pipeline/project specific information including questionnaire, pipe tally, historical information, schematics, drawings, schedule, tool vendor information
  • Coordinate with the various project stakeholders
  • Create and facilitate the distribution of project field documentations including pre-job forms, JSAs, vendor/stakeholder notifications, daily & tool run reports
  • Travel to ILI field locations to coordinate and assist with site preparations including matting, road access, vehicle placement, etc.
  • Conduct pre-job meeting to ensure JSAs are reviewed, schedule and operating procedures are communicated and discussed, verify contractor's qualifications and orientation and verify equipment condition
  • Supervise launch and receive operations: tool loading, trap pressurizing and valve swings, blow-down and tool retrieving, site clean-up and returning to normal operation
  • During the cleaning and ILI runs, coordinate with the tracking team and tool vendor to monitor and facilitate tool speed adjustments with gas control and regional personnel
  • Lead by example in the application of the TC safety culture and best practices of processes and procedures
  • Provide support to ILI PMs with scheduling, vendor interface, safety plans, cost estimates, schedules, scorecards, project documentation, incident reporting and investigation, cost tracking (mats, consumables, equipment, etc.)
  • Review and complete project documentation and submit to the Project Manager
  • Participate in any post-project investigations related to safety incidents, tool failures, lessons learned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Technical Trades Certification
  • 8 years of related industry experience
  • Proven ILI project execution experience including site setup, on-site project coordination and ILI smart tool execution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Gas Handling
  • Proven leadership experience with a consistent focus to personnel and site safety, project budget and deliverables
  • Previous experience with program level direction including scheduling, training, safety, hiring, etc.

This position requires candidates to:

  • Successfully complete pre-employment medical screening including drug and alcohol testing
  • Have and maintain a valid driver's license and provide a driver's abstract (record) for review
  • Travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings or training (estimated up 85% of work schedule)
  • Stay overnight away from home base (estimated up 85% of work schedule)
  • Provide emergency support as required.
