Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Research Project Coordinator to oversee and manage a research project aimed at connecting the ethical objectives taught to DMD students at different years with EDI priorities in real clinical practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of this research project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant guidelines and regulations.

Organizational Status
The Research Project Coordinator will report directly to the PI.

Work Performed

Coordinates and manages the research project from start to completion.

Develops and maintains project timelines, ensuring adherence to deadlines.

Liaises with researchers, faculty, and external stakeholders to facilitate project activities.

Monitors project budgets and expenditures.

Prepares and maintain project documentation, including progress reports and presentations.

Organizes and facilitates project meetings and communications.

Collects and organizes current ethics materials.

Generates workplan Excel sheets.

Creates online documents for team collaboration.

Participates in developing new ethics materials and scenarios.

Organizes and monitors the evaluation process.

Assists with general evaluation tasks.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Consequence of Error/Judgement
The Research Project Coordinator is required to conduct all research facilitation activities in a professional and ethical manner following approved guidelines. Confidentiality must be respected when dealing with research data. Errors made could influence the ability of researchers to meet deadlines and compromise the results of research projects.

Supervision Received
Works independently under the direction of the PI. The Research Project Coordinator is expected to develop their own work plan and timelines, and to exercise a considerable amount of judgement and initiative in the completion of tasks and responsibilities.

Supervision Given
May provide instruction to students and staff as required.

Minimum Qualifications
Completion of a relevant technical program or a university degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Demonstrates a commitment to enhancing one's own awareness, knowledge, and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion

Preferred Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in a health-related field.

Graduate degree strongly preferred.

Dental degree beneficial.

Project management experience preferred.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Familiarity with ethical principles and frameworks.
