We are seeking a Senior Buyer to support our SAP Implementation with a 16-month contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commodity buying, excellent analytical skills, and experience with MRP systems.

  • Procure commodities, raw materials, and goods and services in accordance with purchasing procedures.
  • Project annual cost downs for assigned suppliers and track monthly cost savings.
  • Update MRP systems to ensure accuracy and provide timely information.
  • Collaborate with the engineering group to identify cost-effective supply sources.
  • Perform other duties as required to support SAP Implementation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of commodity buying experience in the automotive environment.
  • Post-secondary education with a business orientation.
  • PMAC membership with a minimum level 3 status.
  • Sound MRP systems knowledge.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Trans4M applications and SAP.
