Airbus Helicopters Canada's Programs Department is responsible for acquisition, completion, maintenance, repair and delivery of helicopters to its Canadian and global customers. Our goal is to create and sustain a reliable customer experience, driving customer loyalty through exceptional project management.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead project teams to deliver projects on schedule, on budget, and on quality, ensuring OTD, Financial Performance, and Customer Satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Conduct contract review meetings for new aircraft completions, identifying and mitigating project risks.
- Translate executed contracts into internal statements of work, controlling revisions and managing changes.
- Understand and manage schedule and budget related to the project, evaluating and challenging productivity targets and results.
Customer Management
- Guide customers through the aircraft acquisition and completion process, focusing on customer experience and managing-to-contract.
- Educate and advise customers, leading difficult and sensitive situations with finesse.
- Ensure customer satisfaction, making the customer feel welcome and understood.
Scheduling and Planning
- Develop completions schedules for assigned projects, continuously monitoring project progress and updating timelines.
- Provide inputs to the department's production schedule and workload planning, making schedule adjustments based on changing project requirements.
- Keep project teams, customers, and leadership informed on changing project requirements.
Project Budgeting and Project Control
- Develop project budgets with inputs from functional departments, verifying accuracy and adjusting based on change orders.
- Track Cost Performance Indicator (CPI), ensuring project financial performance.
R&D and Project Management
- Prepare business cases for new engineering development projects, supporting sales and offer teams with technical advice.
- Monitor project progress and budget, ensuring project deliverables.
Contract Management
- Early involvement in the offer/proposal/sales phase, supporting sales and offer teams with technical advice.
- Full ownership of contracts from early in the process to completion, conducting (Pre-)Contract Review meetings with the Project Team.
- Real-time and accurate tracking of contractual changes, reflected in schedule and budget adjustments.
Education & Job Requirements
- University Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- Project/Program Management Certification.
Experience & Skills
- 5 years of experience in aerospace project management, including aircraft completions, maintenance, and repair, or equivalent.
- Knowledgeable in Transport Canada regulations.
- Financial experience for budgeting purposes.
- Technical experience to comprehend technical data packages.
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Proactive in identifying risks and appropriate mitigations.
- Able to take initiative, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally when required.
