About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Asset Management and FinOps Advisor to join our growing FinOps team. As a senior Technical Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the asset management and compliance functions, as well as implementing FinOps practices on our private cloud and on-prem infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a Product Owner for the IT Assets Management team, overseeing the lifecycle of IT assets (procurement, tracking, usage, and decommissioning).
  • Define and monitor KPIs related to asset compliance and collaborate with directors to achieve these KPIs.
  • Collaborate with the asset management team to ensure data accuracy and asset lifecycle visibility within the CMDB.
  • Develop and enforce IT asset management policies and processes that align with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with procurement, finance, and IT teams to ensure proper asset allocation, tracking, and reporting.
  • Provide regular reports and insights into asset utilization and cost control for IT assets.
  • Support FinOps activities focused on optimizing costs and financial management for the private cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with the FinOps team to provide insights into asset utilization and cost-saving opportunities in the private cloud environment.
  • Assist in tracking and analyzing private cloud spending, helping to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Ensure proper financial governance and cost allocation for private cloud assets.
  • Work with the FinOps team and the asset management team to develop strategies for effective resource usage and cost efficiency.
  • Support decision-making with data-driven insights into both assets management and private cloud financial operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience as a Product Owner in an ITAM context.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in supplier management or asset management.
  • Experience in executive reporting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Data analysis expertise.
  • Strong communication skills, exceptional analytical skills, and meticulous attention to detail for problem-solving and independent decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be an entrepreneurial thinker who is dynamic and adaptable to change, able to work independently, but also demonstrate strong relationship and team skills.
  • Working experience with Service Now or similar tool.
  • Experience with Cloud solution/Development in a cloud context.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required, considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required, however, must be eligible to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Product Owner related certification.
  • FinOps Certification.
  • TBM Certification.
  • Cloud Architect Certification (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with project management practices to lead FinOps initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
