Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Asian Kitchen in Iqaluit, NU. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan menus and determine size of food portions
  • Estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Manage kitchen operations

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • 40 hours per week
