About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer in Training to join our team at Newmont's Red Chris mine. As a key member of our Tailings Construction department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and contributing to the success of our heavy earthworks projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our Tailings Construction Project Engineer to develop and implement construction execution plans.
  • Utilize 3D modeling software and GIS tools to create and verify designs.
  • Track and report material quantities, manage construction data, and support quality control activities.
  • Develop traffic management plans and provide technical support for cyclone sand production related projects.
  • Assist and support consultants and contractors as needed.

Requirements
  • Civil, Mining, Geological, or Geotechnical Engineering degree.
  • Registered or eligible to register with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC).
  • 1-3 years of mining, heavy earthworks, or civil design experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
