About The Role:

Our ideal Vet Assistant will counsel and educate clients, under the direction of a Veterinarian or a RVT, on various aspects of animal care such as dosage/purpose of medications, home care, vaccination requirements, preventative healthcare recommendations, end of day cleaning and helping restraining animals. In collaboration with the team, they will suggest and explain laboratory procedures and testing. They will also greet, handle, and treat animals in a way that contributes to an environment in which animals feel safe and secure. Animal care attendant schooling and at least 1 year of experience is an asset. Veterinary Assistant or Kennel Assistant experience is an asset.
