Join the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) as a Category Manager - Fleet Vehicles and play a key role in managing the procurement of Transit and Fleet Vehicles portfolio.
About the JobThis is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Category Manager - Fleet Vehicles, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and providing oversight of procurement activities and contract administration.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, coordinate, and provide oversight of procurement activities and contract administration.
- Liaise with clients to identify and resolve systemic issues or problems in procurement processes or procedures.
- Review, assess, and approve client's scope of work/specifications and requirements.
- Guide and assist section staff with proposal evaluations and contract negotiation and administration activities.
- Coordinate, monitor, review, and prepare reports relating to procurement/contract administration progress.
- Prepare responses to and correspondence with contractors and consultants regarding contractual and commercial matters.
- Plan, supervise, and direct the daily work performed by direct reports.
- Develop short and long-term plans relating to methods, procedures, administration, and staffing to enhance the effectiveness of the procurement process.
- University Degree or College Diploma in Business or a related discipline.
- Progressively responsible experience in a hybrid or complex procurement and/or supply organization.
- Strong knowledge of category management, strategic sourcing, and advanced market knowledge of assigned category.
- Experience with business case development and highly developed management, organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience collaborating, leading, motivating, and training staff within operating departments about strategic sourcing approaches.
