Our team is committed to creating positive, safe, and inclusive environments for students to learn and for staff to work together.
Responsibilities- Maintain student permanent records, school records, student enrolments, attendance, and month-end reports using various data management programs in a confidential manner
- Create a variety of written documents in a professional manner as required
- Schedule appointments, book meeting rooms, and communicate with participants in a timely manner as required
- Assist with orientation of new school staff
- Organize and facilitate school announcements
- Provide excellent service to school staff, students, and the public, including answering and directing phone calls in a courteous and professional manner
- Prepare, distribute, collect, and categorize various school forms
- Accept, distribute, and expedites mail, couriered, and delivered items
- Collaborate with team members to identify efficient work flow in the school office
- Complete a variety of clerical duties in a fast-paced work environment by assigned deadlines
- Supervise students in the infirmary
- Support the financial duties, and other administrative tasks as required
- Support the administration of the community rental of the school/facility as required
- Certificate or diploma in office management, business administration, or a related field
- Two or more years' experience in an administrative assistant role in an office environment
- Previous experience with customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience within a school division and/or with Student Information Records Systems is considered an asset
- An equivalent combination of Education and Experience may be considered
