Job Title: Security Program Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Program Manager to join our team at Paladin Security. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for championing the growth and development of our security programs across all Paladin contracts in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement short- and long-range goals and objectives that align with the company's vision and policies.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of security programs for Paladin's contracts.
  • Ensure all contractual obligations are met by overseeing and scheduling the necessary resources.
  • Take ownership of staff and client issues and provide timely responses to both groups.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients in the portfolio.
  • Perform interviews to support Human Resources in ensuring sufficient resources are available to meet the company's contractual obligations.
  • Ensure thorough site training and employee orientation programs are in place at all sites within the portfolio.
  • Visit clients and staff regularly to ensure the needs of both groups are met.
  • Monitor all accounts receivable of clients within the portfolio and assist accounting as needed to ensure all accounts are up to date.
  • Monitor daily and nightly reports and Incident Reports and take appropriate action on reports related to sites within the portfolio.
  • Ensure overall coordination of Paladin contract security plans by developing and maintaining the security program, developing and maintaining facility plans and related documentation, coordinating and evaluating security and fire safety system and process testing requirements, ensuring regulatory requirements are met, and providing direction to related committees within the Paladin health care contracts.
  • Support other Paladin-wide programs by delivering education and awareness sessions on security issues as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of management experience of employees and client services is essential.
  • A graduate degree in Business or Health Care Administration or related discipline and specialized training in protection services or criminology; or equivalent education and experience is an asset.
  • Minimum of three years supervisory/managerial experience in security and/or fire safety services.
  • Working knowledge of appropriate legislation and provincial/national standards on fire safety, building codes, security, and protection of privacy.
  • Must have strong leadership, social interaction, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to write and present proposals to large organizations.
  • An interest in social activity used to build client relationships by fostering an excellent client/service provider connection.
  • Creative ability to foster new and better ways to perform and succeed.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Must have strong leadership, social interaction, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to write and present proposals to large organizations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism.
  • Ability to write comprehensive reports and maintain proper records.
  • Working knowledge of appropriate legislation and provincial/national standards on fire safety, building codes, security, and protection of privacy.
  • Usual business hours of work with after-hours and weekend availability required.
  • Must have a reliable working vehicle.
  • Class G Driver's License is required.
  • Experience with Paladin Mobile Division is an asset.
