Position: | Part-Time Security Guard
Site: | St. Lawrence College - Brockville Parkedale
Hours: | Rotating - Saturday & Sunday /
Payrate: | $19.05/hour
Working as a Campus Security Guard you will be responsible for completing investigations and incident reports. You will be expected to perform consistent patrols and interact with the public to provide good customer service and keep the clients and visitors safe.
Job Description:
  • Greet employees and visitors at designated entrances
  • Ensure all staff, visitors, and vendors entering the site follow proper precautionary measures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment, as required
  • Provide instructions to visitors and staff
  • Assist visitors as necessary with wayfinding as required
  • Proactive Patrols of St. Lawrence College - Brockville Campus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and flexible environment with maintaining the utmost professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal skills, flexible, and customer service orientation
  • Remain calm and effectively perform in emergency situations
  • Able to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
  • Additional job duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
  • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
  • Proof of double COVID-19 vaccination
  • English (oral and written) fluency is a must
  • Previous experience in security, by-law, parking enforcement - considered an asset
  • Must be able to commute to Kingston for 2 days of in-class training
  • Note: Active students of St. Lawrence College are not permitted to hold security guard positions at St. Lawrence Campuses
