As a Security Officer, your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough investigations and prepare detailed incident reports. You will be tasked with performing regular patrols and engaging with the public to ensure a safe environment for clients and visitors alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate professionalism while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
- Maintain composure and effectiveness during emergency situations.
- Follow specific instructions and procedures diligently.
- Conduct regular patrols of both the interior and exterior of the facility.
- Provide supervision for patients as needed.
- Document incidents and prepare end-of-shift reports.
- Monitor guests, staff, and patients to proactively address potential incidents.
- Possession of a valid Ontario Security Guard License.
- Current First Aid & CPR - Level C Certification from an approved provider.
- Ability to be clean-shaven to meet N95 Mask Fit Test requirements.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum double vaccination).
- Immunization records for Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella, and TB Skin Tests (Step 1 & 2).
- Ability to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check during onboarding.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required; French is an asset.
- Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including extensive patrolling and restraints.
- Preferred: 6+ months of prior security experience.
- Experience in healthcare or healthcare security is considered an asset.
- Must provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB).
- Applicants without these certifications may enroll in Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to onboarding.
- Please note: UoF/MOAB training is unpaid as it is a prerequisite, but Paladin will cover training costs with a commitment to the position.
