Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Support Worker Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Support Worker

Join our team at Labrador-Grenfell Health, a leading provider of healthcare services in Northern Newfoundland and Labrador. We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Support Worker to assist our Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist in delivering rehabilitation services to clients.

About the Role
  • Assist in the delivery of rehabilitation services to clients in the hospital and community
  • Carry out assigned programs and activities with clients
  • Provide and maintain rehab equipment as required
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and facilities
  • Organize and manage time effectively
  • Work with some independence and self-initiative
  • Perform lifts/transfers of physically and/or cognitively impaired clients
  • Assist with treatments and assessments as required
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Maintain accurate workload measurement statistics
Requirements
  • Graduation from High School or equivalency
  • Successful completion of a Two-year diploma from a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program (preferred)
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (CPR)
  • Ability to understand and demonstrate correct body mechanics
  • Knowledge of Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy
  • Ability to use computer (asset)
  • Satisfactory certificate of conduct
