About the Opportunity

The IMIT Senior Business Analyst/Systems Analyst is responsible for the evaluation, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of information management and technology solutions, projects, and services across Nova Scotia Health, IWK Health and its many external clients. The IMIT Senior Business Analyst/Systems Analyst collaborates with key clinical and business stakeholders throughout the Province.

Reporting to the IMIT Manager, Business Solutions & Technology, the Senior Business Analyst/Systems Analyst acts as a business generalist and system specialist for People Services information systems (SAP, SuccessFactors, UKG, Kronos etc.) ensuring that operational system requirements are addressed. This includes consulting and advising on all functional aspects of the information systems, recommending solutions, system design and enhancements, and coordinating system(s) processes.

The Senior Business Analyst/Systems Analyst is the primary contact for designated information system(s) for the purpose of maintenance, design, development, testing, modification and data integrity. They also participate as a member of a cross-functional team to ensure clients are receiving quality service.

About the Opportunity Continued

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Work on complex, cross-functional, and provincial business application solutions including SAP, SuccessFactors and UKG Pro Workforce Management Time & Scheduling system.
  • Coordinate transport management and release planning schedules.
  • Provide support to People Services to provide ongoing functional enhancements, incident troubleshooting and resolution, solution recommendations and business process consulting.
  • Information gathering and documentation of business/technical requirements.
  • Perform system integration and user acceptance testing.
  • Ensure IT systems and processes are implemented and maintained to support the effective and safe delivery of information to business resources at Nova Scotia Health/IWK Health.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships between the Clinical and Business stakeholders and IMIT to determine appropriate IT solutions.
  • Interpret business requirements and determine optimum business application solutions to meet needs.
  • Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation efforts meet integration and performance expectations.
  • Collaborate with team members, vendors and other stakeholders.
  • Perform analyses for a wide range of requests using data in different formats and from various platforms.
About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Degree or diploma in an Information Technology, Business Analysis or Health Related discipline. (An equivalent combination education, training and experience may be considered.)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Technology, Business Analysis or Health Related field.
  • Minimum of 2+years' experience in application programming, systems analysis, business analysis or systems support.
  • Experience supporting SAP Time & Payroll modules is an asset.
  • Experience supporting SuccessFactors Employee Central is an asset.
  • Experience supporting UKG, Kronos or other Workforce Management system is an asset.
  • Relevant certification in SAP/SuccessFactors/UKG is an asset.
  • Experience and/or training with healthcare information systems and terminology is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality; recognize sensitive issues and respond appropriately.
  • Strong analytical skills to gather and implement user requirements.
  • Experience working with large volumes of different types of data.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving, written and verbal communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Compensation and Incentives

$ $47.01 Hourly
