Key Responsibilities:- Provide on-track protection for external and internal projects on CN property
- Oversee Assistant Supervisors in scheduling and planning operations, adhering to CN regulations and collective agreements
- Lead team members with clear direction and goals, coaching and guiding employees through regular performance monitoring
- Develop and validate internal and external operational documentation and invoicing
- Investigate and record incidents, disciplinary measures, and other situations as needed
- Participate in safety and planning meetings with internal and external departments
- Maintain the vehicle fleet and oversee inventory of products and tools for field operations
- Coach Flagging Officers and Assistant Supervisors on protection issues and provide targeted coaching
- Support operations in unforeseen situations
- Organize quarterly meetings to discuss concerns
The role requires working in various environments, including office and outdoors, in different weather conditions, on a shift schedule, with regular travel throughout the territory.
Requirements:Experience:- Between 3 to 5 years of management and supervising unionized personnel experience
- Experience in complying with safety standards, troubleshooting, and problem-solving
- Minimum 3 years of experience in railway operation flagging
- Experience in Labor Relations, including interpreting collective agreements, handling grievances, negotiating with union representatives, and disciplinary measures
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Sets direction and inspires others

- Knows the business and stays current on industry needs
- Identifies needs and finds solutions to create value for all stakeholders
- Leads by example for the safety and security of all

- Knowledge of Information and Technology (I&T) tools, particularly Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Knowledge of construction and maintenance principles, operating rules, engineering standards, and measures related to engineering activities
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
