Unit Claims Manager, Appraisal

At Intact, we're looking for a skilled Unit Claims Manager, Appraisal, to join our team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of repairs performed by vendors, in accordance with Intact policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate activities to achieve quality and compliance objectives.
- Act as a resource person, providing support to internal and external estimators and Intact resources.
- Provide training and technical support to employees, keeping up-to-date on software and techniques.
- Verify subrogation files and make recommendations.
- Perform quality control of estimates produced by in-house appraisers and body shops.
- Develop analyses and recommendations to increase efficiency.
- Manage team activities, organizing, planning, and controlling resources.
- Support trusted networks for complaints related to estimates.
- Participate in committees and stay aware of industry techniques.
Requirements:
- College diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of management experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of the appraisal process and software.
- Experience and demonstrated leadership success factors within Intact.
- Good analytical, synthesis, and decision-making skills.
- Project management and change management skills.
- Ability to engage and mobilize the team.
- Build relationships based on trust and collaboration.
- Bilingual (French and English) to interact with English-speaking clients and colleagues.
