As a Senior Claims Operations Manager - Appraisal Excellence, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our Claims Operations team. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the appraisal process, ensuring that it is efficient, effective, and compliant with our policies and procedures.

You will be responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of our appraisal team, providing support to internal and external estimators, and verifying subrogation files from other insurers. Your expertise in appraisal software and techniques will be invaluable in providing training and technical support to our employees.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will be expected to manage the activities of your team, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration. You will also be responsible for participating in various committees related to estimation and staying up-to-date with industry techniques.

What You'll Do
  • Directs and coordinates the activities to achieve quality and compliance objectives of the appraisal process
  • Act as a resource person by providing support to internal and external estimators and various Intact resources
  • Provide training and technical support to employees by keeping up to date on appraisal software and techniques
  • Verify the subrogation files of other insurers and make recommendations
  • Perform quality control of estimates produced by in-house appraisers and body shops
  • Increase the efficiency of the appraisal process by participating in the development of analyses and recommendations
  • Manage the activities of your team by organizing, planning, and controlling the optimal use of human, financial, and material resources
  • Support the teams of our trusted networks for complaints related to estimates
  • Participate in various existing committees in the field of estimation
What You Bring
  • College diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 to 5 years of management experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of the appraisal process and software
  • Experience and demonstrated leadership success factors within Intact
  • Good analytical, synthesis, and decision-making skills
  • Project management and change management skills
  • Ability to engage and mobilize your team
  • Ability to build relationships based on trust and collaboration
  • Bilingual (French and English) - need to interact regularly with an English-speaking clientele and colleagues across the country

At Intact Financial Corporation, we offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to your salary, you will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including a pension plan, health and dental insurance, and a generous vacation allowance.
