Planning Analyst

The Analyst ensures the proper allocation of merchandise according to brand, sales, inventory trend and forecast including rtvs and consolidations, and supports the creation and use of analytical information to drive inventory actions and profit

Key Responsibilities

  • Build effective partnerships with internal and external partners e.g. buyers, stores, supply chain, vendors
  • Ensure RTVs are executed and monitored to ensure the process is completed effectively and on time
  • Manage and execute consolidations and replenishment to maximise sell-through across all channels/locations
  • Where relevant, maintain accurate Demand Forecasts/Auto-Replenishment models and manage AR Orders
  • Analyze detailed performance and provide recommendations on matrix and inventory to improve full price sell-through and profit
  • Share analytical information, commentary and reporting to support buying, planning and cross-functional inventory decisions
  • Participate in the planning and forecasting process to align the detailed inventory opportunities
  • Own preparation of recode and markdown submissions
  • Develop knowledge and understanding through communication and merchandise discussions with Buying and Store teams
  • Assist in the development of processes, systems and reports
  • Take the opportunity to participate in and champion recommended projects
  • Complies with all Health & Safety policies and requirements
  • Ensure compliance with privacy policies, regulations, and cyber security measures.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned

Ideal Characteristics

  • Evidence of successful analytical experience (ideally in a merchant, retail or financial position) or good retail shopfloor experience
  • Strong analytical, numerical, critical thinking, and customer service skills
