What you'll do

Since 2013, CTR's Procurement department has supported the Merchandising teams in saving over $100 MM. The Senior Procurement Analyst (SPA) has played a significant role in realizing those savings. The SPA will contribute to the financial performance of the company by maximizing the value CTR receives from its $4.5 Billion in merchandising spending. The SPA will identify and support the execution of savings opportunities for a targeted portfolio of business categories.

  • Act as a key contributor to the financial success of line reviews and vendor reviews through focused attention to procurement dimensions.
  • Conduct and/or support research, analysis, and recommendations in several areas, including purchase analytics, current purchase mix, supply market reviews, sourcing strategy development, RFI/RFP development, quote/bid analysis, vendor negotiations.
  • Identify tools, templates, and best practice approaches to apply to supported categories (in collaboration with Procurement Manager). Develop approaches to increase productivity of Procurement and Merchandising teams.
  • Use analysis and recommendations based on experience and learnings from other categories to challenge the status quo, providing recommendations to CBM, AVP, and Procurement Manager
  • Contribute to the team's overall objectives (e.g., macro cost savings opportunities) by sharing insights and providing recommendations from category projects

What you bring

  • Understanding buying processes (e.g., Line Review) and experience working within a buying team are assets
  • 3 or more years of progressive analytical experience
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate insights and recommendations clearly and confidently (both verbally and written) to stakeholders
  • Proficiency in MS Office. Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent time management & organization skills
  • Works well in a team environment – seeks to share best practices, learn from other team members, works well cross functionally
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt well to different categories and people
  • Strong analytical, quantitative reasoning and problem-solving skills required
  • Ability to work within a consistent framework while being able to identify where a category requires a different approach Hybrid

We value flexibility. We have adopted a hybrid work model whereby employees use a combination of working in office and virtually in service of outcomes. Each leader is empowered to decide what work is best achieved in person based on the unique needs of their team.
