Our school serves families from a diverse range of Jewish backgrounds and religious practices.
We are hiring an Early Childhood Personal Aide to work one on one with a student for the 2024/25 school year. This position may be a part-time or full-time position with hours between 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

Candidates need not be Jewish, but must be receptive and open to working in a Jewish day school environment.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Experience or training working with children with special education needs.
- Experience working in a school setting and enjoy engaging with children of all ages.
- Can work with students with learning needs in an inclusive classroom setting as well as on an individual or small group basis
- Able to support students in a variety of subject areas with planning, organization and time management
- Can maintain student records, follow a student support plan (SSP), and review strategies
- Can prepare additional resources and materials to support students with learning differences
- Working collaboratively with classroom teachers to help the needs of the student
- Experience working with children in large groups
- Can help facilitate games and activities for students
- Has a positive attitude and works well with others
- Good communication skills
- Excellent conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather
- Ensure student safety and student compliance with school rules, ensuring appropriate behavior.
- Intervene in potentially unsafe play situations and facilitate conflict resolutions between students.
- Responsible Adult certificate is required unless ECE, ECE-SN, or ECEA certified Consent to a criminal ("CRC") record/vulnerable sector check and provide a resulting valid CRC
- Maintain, at all times, the legal authorization to work in Canada
Hourly rate: * $23/hour - $28/hour DOE & qualifications
*if ECE or ECE-SN certified, eligible for ECE wage enhancement
